Hall of Fame:

Aware that Wallington High School alumni can serve as worthy role models, graduates who have experienced educational and professional success are recognized by induction into the Wallington High School Academic Hall of Fame.  

The Academic Hall of Fame Committee seeks to honor alumni who have gone on to experience personal success with their life endeavors. Criteria considered for selection include secondary and post secondary educational achievements, professional accomplishments, recommendations, and community involvement. While a candidate’s academic success is important, the committee gives consideration to individuals who might not have excelled academically, but who have become highly successful on a professional level.

This year we inducted a new set of graduates on Thursday, November 19, 2009, at The Landmark in East Rutherford. Those interested in nominating someone who graduated WHS at least 10 years ago should contact Ms. Diane Macaluso at Wallington High School 973-777-0808 or email jarotski@wboe.org

 Booster Club:

The Academic Booster Club (ABC) was formed in January 1997. At that time a group of energetic educators, students, parents, board members, and community leaders met with the objective of promoting academic excellence. The group convened several times in order to establish a mission statement and a set of goals. The purpose of the organization is to elevate academic achievement and encourage harder study among all Wallington students.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote and acknowledge academic achievement, continuous improvement and citizenship for all students. It is our intent to foster a spirit of commitment to this effort in the Wallington community.

Goals and Objectives

1. Improve overall academic performance and citizenship by stimulating intrinsic motivation and an appreciation for lifelong learning.
2. Foster pride in academic achievement and recognize those who succeed.
3. Provide incentives and recognition programs for all students across all departments.
4. Increase parent and community awareness, support and involvement.
5. Acknowledge the accomplishments of alumni, faculty and staff.
6. Engage in fundraising activities in order to provide scholarships, sponsor trips, develop programs and other worthy projects.
