PRINCIPAL
Mary Ann Szwed, Class of 1990, was appointed principal of Caesar Rodney HS in Delaware for the 2005-06 school year. She was previously the athletic director and softball/basketball coach at Fifer Middle School. She did her administrative internship in the Fairfax County Public School District in Virginia. Mary Ann was a three-sport standout at Wallington in the lat 80's.

Mr. Kicinski was appointed the vice-principal several years ago, and Ms. Jarotski is our Guidance Dept. Supervisor. Our principal, Dr. Joseph Pompeo, has been with us since 1990, when I moved from that seat to the Superintendent’s office. Mr. Branick (yes, that Jim Branick) is our Athletic director.

CLASS OF 1994
Jason Timochko, Class of 1994, is currently a photography teacher at Cresskill HS. He has received a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Japan for one month in November. Part of the project will be to shoot a photo documentary and to set up a website for Japanese and American students to post photo assignments and exchange ideas.
Facilities: The physical plant is essentially the same as when you attended school there. Of course we have implemented several renovation projects. Full Internet capability in every classroom and office. Wireless Technology. Computer labs (library, rooms 103 and 104), mini-labs (rooms 102, 203 and 306) In-school suspension room (room 307) Complete new gym floor, handicapped accessible bleachers, and wall padding in the gym. Weight room (1982) New main/guidance offices in the area formerly rooms 205 and 206.
Now, how about you... If you have some news you want to get the other alumni, get it to me. We would like to encourage your communication with us, and with other former graduates. I will enter information about anniversaries, reunions, births, special achievements/awards, the passing of your former graduates, etc. I don’t want this section to be a “gossip column” like you may remember from the Courier, but I want it to be informative and interesting.

Programs: In an attempt to upgrade our instructional program, we have implemented many changes in our courses of studies, course offerings, and co-curricular program.

Many of the teachers who you may have had in high school are now retired, or may have moved on to another school district. I began in September 1968, and am now the senior member, if you like, of the high school staff. Mr. Nolan, Ms. Kowalczyk, Mr. Benanti, Ms. Provissiero, Mrs. Wanca (Sullivan), Ms. Flejzor, Mrs. Vassi, Mr. Meder, Mrs. Shawl, Mr. Jordan, Mr. Baron, Mrs. Stagg, Mrs. Stankiewicz, Mrs. Francisco, Mrs. Chowanec have all retired. The new staff is very young, but energetic and enthusiastic. The building has a new level of energy.
