Many of the teachers who you may have had in high school are now
retired, or may have moved on to another school district. I
began in September 1968, and am now the senior member, if you
like, of the high school staff. Mr. Nolan, Ms. Kowalczyk, Mr.
Benanti, Ms. Provissiero, Mrs. Wanca (Sullivan), Ms. Flejzor,
Mrs. Vassi, Mr. Meder, Mrs. Shawl, Mr. Jordan, Mr.
Baron, Mrs. Stagg, Mrs. Stankiewicz, Mrs. Francisco, Mrs.
Chowanec have all retired.
The new staff is very young, but energetic and enthusiastic. The
building has a new level of energy.
Mr. Kicinski was appointed the vice-principal several years ago,
and Ms. Jarotski is our Guidance Dept. Supervisor. Our
principal, Dr. Joseph Pompeo, has been with us since 1990, when
I moved from that seat to the Superintendent’s office. Mr.
