• Due to Covid 19. The Child Nutrition Program has extended meals FREE of charge to all students. Free meals will be available from October 13th, to the end of December 2020.

    Students without an approved application on file or who have been denied, will have access to the meals free of charge until the end of December only.  We urge parents to complete a meal application as soon as possible. Keep in mind that after December if you do not have an approved application on file you will not be eligible for the meals.

    If your child has not been approved and is interested in getting a meal you will need to send in an order form so we can plan and order meals accordingly.

    To order meals ... print order forms and list the days and dates you are interested in. No Payment will be due. Enter 0

    Meals will be ordered a week in advance. Example:On the week of October 13th you will be submitting an order form for the week of October 19th. Follow this example weekly.

    (A) groups  should submit order forms by Monday. (B) groups should submit order forms by Thursday.

    If your child is doing virtual only and you are interested in meals, you will need to contact Mrs. Rivero for a pick up time between 11:30 to 1:00. Order forms can be emailed to

    Breakfast Serving Times and Outline of Lunch Distribution

    Breakfast at Gavlak will be served from 8:00 to 8:30 in the All Purpose Room
    Lunch at Gavlak will be Grab and Go Lunch  to take home.

    Breakfast at Jefferson  will be served from 8:00 to 8:30 in the Cafeteria
    Lunch at Jefferson will be Grab and Go Lunches to take home.

    Jr/Sr High School Breakfast will be served  from 7:30 to 8:00 in the Home Ec. Room
    Jr/Sr High School Lunches will be Grab and Go lunches. Lunches will be distributed from the Home Ec Room at dismissal time.

    On Wednesday Virtual Days- Lunches for all schools will be distributed from the High School Vestibule from 11-1:15.

Program Objective

  • Wallington Board of Education participates in the National School Lunch ProgramSchool Breakfast Program. These programs provide children with a healthy well balance meal.

    We offer a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grain breads and low fat or fat free milk. We recognize the critical connection between good health and success in the classroom.

    We encourage families to participate in the breakfast program.
