The members of the Wallington Special Education Department believe it is essential to provide each educationally disabled student with the opportunity to successfully achieve their academic and social objectives within an appropriate educational setting. We the professional staff, parents and students have worked together to develop special education programs that guide the educationally disabled student in the development of ethical and moral values, essential for participation in a humanistic and democratic society. We believe, through professional leadership of faculty and administration, that the student’s Individual Education Plan, goals and objectives will be attained intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and vocationally. We also affirm that the practical application of these purposes is the combined responsibility of the community, parents and school.

New Jersey Administrative Code 6A14-3.3a requires each school district to locate, identify and evaluate children 3 through 21 who may be disabled due to physical, sensory, emotional, communication, cognitive or social difficulties and reside in the community.
If you have a child turning 3 or older and suspect a disability, the Wallington School District may be able to assist you in meeting their educational needs.
