Mr. Charles Vellis, Jr has been appointed to the position of Athletic Director at Wallington High School as of July 1, 2022. Mr. Vellis has been a member of the WHS faculty since 2016, serving as a Teacher of Business Education, as well as a head coach for Football and Softball. Mr. Vellis earned his B.A. from Kean University, and his M.ed from Montclair State University. 

Mr. Vellis is a graduate of our school district (grades K-12) and is also a member of the Jr/Sr High School Athletic Hall of Fame - having been inducted in 2018.  Most recently, Mr. Vellis was named Bergen County Coach of the Year for Softball for the 2022 season.  As our new Athletic Director, Mr. Vellis will work to provide access to our many athletic programs for all of our students, as well as to continue to strengthen the classroom to field/court connections within our school for the improvement of all of our student-athletes.
