Dear Wallington Community,
As we head into our final week of the school year, we have some incredible news to share with our entire school community! The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) recently released its latest School Performance Reports, and the data reflects the remarkable dedication, hard work, and heart that define Wallington Junior/Senior High School.
A Tremendous Leap in Our State Rating
Our official NJDOE Summative Rating climbed from a previous 71.15 to an impressive 79.31 for the school year.
This rating is a comprehensive, state-calculated measure of our school's overall academic environment, student growth, and graduation metrics. A jump of this magnitude is a clear signal that our academic programs and student support systems are stronger than ever.
Outperforming Traditional Regional Powerhouses
When compared directly to other high schools across our county and the surrounding areas, Wallington’s relative performance is incredibly encouraging. Our rating of 79.31 places us ahead of many traditionally high-performing neighboring districts.
Wallington Junior/Senior High School proudly achieved a higher NJDOE Summative Rating than notable regional schools, including:
Northern Highlands Regional (78.73)
Glen Rock (77.62)
Ridgewood (75.14)
Rutherford (74.59)
Mahwah (73.76)
Paramus (66.57)
Ramsey (66.30)
Excellence and Growth Across Every Student Subgroup
Beyond regional comparisons, our official School Performance Report reveals that Wallington continues to score well above the state average in a majority of evaluated metrics.
What makes us most proud is how every student is being supported to reach their full potential. We saw especially outstanding growth and above-state-average performance in our key student subgroups, including:
Economically Disadvantaged Students
Multilingual Learners
Hispanic/Latino Students
These specific achievements highlight our deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and ensuring that every single child who walks through our doors has the resources, care, and support they need to thrive.
Thank You to Our Incredible Community
These achievements do not happen by accident. They are a direct reflection of our tireless faculty and staff, our hardworking students, and the support of our families.
To our staff: Your dedication, innovative teaching, and genuine concern for our students’ well-being are driving these outstanding results. You should all experience a deep sense of gratification for these amazing achievements.
To our families: Thank you for partnering with us every step of the way and fostering a culture of achievement at home.
Let's carry this incredible momentum into the summer and look forward to reaching even greater heights next school year.
