The number of Wallington High School students earning scores of 3 or higher on the 2025-2026 Advanced Placement Exams set a new record for student achievement, with a total of 107 such scores. Nineteen members of the Class of 2026 earned the distinction of “Advanced Placement Scholar” for earning passing scores in three or more exams: Theodore Golemanov, Jennifer Grebowiec, Olivia Gryc, Roma Joseph, Grace Kucharek, Anna Lachick, Karen Lasota, Zuzanna Lejawa, Anna Orzechowski, Emily Pinilla, Karol Pisula, Natalia Poweska, Silas Preinfalk, Willem Preinfalk, Isabela Rivera, Joey Roman, Hubert Sadecki, Devin Trobiano, and Victoria Zaremba,
Moreover, eight members of the Class of 2027 are “Advanced Placement Scholars:” Jacob Augustynowicz, Adrian Homa, Mateusz Januszczyk, Karolina Lejawa, Krystian Ozga, Patryk Palasz, Nathaniel Siemion, and Dominik Wargala
These wonderful achievements would not be possible without the tireless efforts of our Advanced Placement teachers. In particular:
Mr. Hourigan’s United States History students had the highest total number of students with passing scores (20)
Ms. Rothstein’s English Language/Composition students had a 100% passing rate.
Ms. Drishti’s Spanish Language/Culture students had a 100% passing rate.
Ms. Van Orden’s English Literature students had a 73% pass rate, the highest since 2014.
More than half of the freshmen in Ms. Guarino’s World History class earned a passing score. Last year was the first time we offered AP instruction to Grade 9 students.
Ms. Parler’s AP Computer Science A (Java) students had a significantly higher number of passing scores than any other group in the five years we have offered this course.
Congratulations to all of our students and teachers on these historic and impressive achievements. Lastly, special thanks to our Advanced Placement Coordinator, Mrs. Bonnie Luberto.
