The Wallington Public School District is fortunate to partner with NJ Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) to support youth mental wellness. We recently became aware of an opportunity for parents and caregivers to participate in a virtual parent education program, and we would like to gauge your interest.
The virtual program would run weekly on Thursday evenings (6:30-8:00) from January 15 - March 26, 2026.
EPIC stands for Every Person Influences Children. All parents/guardians, extended family, and caregivers are welcome to attend.
The program is free for residents of Bergen County. Your name, home address, email address, and phone number would be required upon registration.

Please see the post from the Wallington Jr. Panthers Football Program.
Dear Wallington Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we write to you today regarding the future of the Wallington Jr. Panthers football program. Despite our best efforts, we are currently facing a crisis that could result in the cancellation of our upcoming season.
Over the past several months, the Wallington Jr. Panthers Board has worked tirelessly to generate excitement and participation in our program. We’ve reached out to families, promoted registration through various channels, and made numerous attempts to engage parents and players. Unfortunately, the response has been minimal, and we are now in danger of not fielding enough players — or coaches — to support a season.
Our community has a long-standing tradition of supporting youth football, and this program has been a cornerstone of Wallington since 1974. We are not just talking about a lost season — we are talking about losing a vital part of our community. The Jr. Panthers are more than a football program; we are the building blocks for the Wallington High School football and cheer programs. When we don’t have a season at the youth level, it directly impacts the future of our high school teams. The long-term effects are greater than most realize.
But there is still time.
We truly believe the Wallington Jr. Panthers can be saved — with your help. If you’ve ever considered having your child play football, now is the time to step forward. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, coaching, or simply helping out — we need you more than ever. This program runs on the dedication of our parents and community volunteers, and without that support, we simply cannot move forward.
The Board will be meeting again in 72 hours to make a final decision on the future of this season. We do not want to make the difficult decision to cancel, but without immediate support from our community, we may have no other choice.
Please, help us preserve this program for the children of Wallington — now and in the years to come. If you are interested in having your child play football or want to learn how you can get involved, reach out to us at info@wallingtonjrpanthers.com as soon as possible.
Let’s come together as a community and show that the Wallington Jr. Panthers are worth fighting for.
With hope and gratitude,
The Wallington Jr. Panthers Board
